Gay-Straight Alliance will have a call-out meeting for the new semester on Jan. 19.
“We are going to reintroduce what we do for new people,” said club president and senior Reid Libby.
At the meeting, the officers will reintroduce the agenda and go over what will go on during the semester. There will also be a surprise guest speaker.
“We are going to look at the school’s diversity statements and see if there can be a discussion about that,” said sponsor Jeremy Horner.
The GSA will also begin preparations for the national Day of Silence, an event which brings attention to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues. The club will also prepare for national No Name Calling week and other events within CHS such as Houndstock.
