Twenty corporate sponsors attended the first annual Carmel Dads’ Club (CDC) corporate sponsor dinner. Businesses such as Penske Honda, Methodist Sports Medicine and Shepherd Insurance met for dinner at Sullivan’s Steakhouse, which sponsored the dinner.
CDC president Jack Beery said the dinner was “just our way of thanking our sponsors for the financial support they give us which allow us to have first class youth sports programming.”
Beery said the dinner allowed corporate sponsors to meet up and “network” with other companies for possible future dealings. The CDC has 25 major sponsors, which is a sponsor that donates $5,000 or more yearly. Beery also said the dinner was an opportunity for the companies to generate ideas that would help the CDC find other corporate sponsors to help support it. Beery also mentioned that the dinner let sponsors know the “goings-on” of the CDC, and kept them up-to-date with the local happenings.
Jared Nematollahi, freshman and CDC participant, has been playing CDC basketball since he was in third grade. He said meetings like this are good for CDC and will help support them. Nematollahi said, “I think it’s a good thing because it helps Carmel Dad’s Club raise more money for their sports.”
