According to sponsor Maureen Borto, UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) Club is scheduled to hold a bake sale later in March. Bake sale days have yet to be determined, but they will take place during lunch. Newly elected club officers will head the event.
President Stephanie Wu said club members could be involved in the bake sale by attending the next meeting, which is scheduled to take place on March 13. The club is mainly selling baked goods such as cake and cupcakes.
“Members can sign up for bake sale times at the next meeting. We will need members from each lunch to sell the baked goods as they eat, but first we will need to baked the goods,” Wu said. “We will get together to bake and buy the goods that we will be selling. All profits from the bake sale will go to UNICEF.”
Borto said the new class officers have been elected would help with the event.
Borto said, “The new co-presidents are Silvia Lee and David Choe. Vice president for the club will be Cynthia Wu, and Secretary will be Tiffany Yeh.”
