According to Freshman Class Sponsor Ann Mayhew, the Freshman Class will be participating in the elections for next year’s Senators and class officers.
Although this is a school-wide event, each class will vote for its respective officers and Senators. Elections are scheduled to start the week of May 7.
Senator and freshman Edward Zhang says he will be running again and trying to become one of six senators for his class.
According to Zhang, each candidate has to follow a set of rules while campaigning, and some monetary restrictions may vary depending on which position the candidate is running for.
“This will be my first time campaigning in a high school setting, but I’m pretty excited for the elections to take place,” Zhang said.
