Best Buddies plans will have a chapter meeting Dec. 14. According to club president Rachael Klippel, the club plans to do activities that are holiday-themed. The activities are not planned for sure, but Klippel said the board members will meet in the coming weeks to plan the meeting.
“We just all get together and do something fun. We will probably decorate Christmas cookies and watch some kind of holiday movie,” Klippel said.
Klippel said the club usually does themed activities in chapter meetings, depending on the month or time of the year.
According to club sponsor Dana Lawrence, in past holiday-themed meetings, buddies and peer buddies have made crafts, had snacks and played games. She said it gets everyone into holiday spirit.
“It’s just like all of our meetings, getting everyone together, getting people to spend time with their buddies. People bring their friends and stuff. It’s just creating the awareness and getting people to know their buddies more. It creates stronger friendships,” Klippel said.
