According to Yanying Chen, CHS Anime Club president and junior, the next club meetings will occur on March 11 after school in the large group instruction (LGI) room on the first floor of the Freshman Center.
“They always ask for ‘Fairy Tail,’ at least a while ago before I showed it to them,” Chen said. “And then the time before that they always want to watch ‘Polar Bear Café,’ and it’s like a really calm anime. Anime calms them down, somehow.”
Chen said other anime shows that members watch often include “Sword Art Online” and “Madoka Magica.” She also said club members are trying to limit watching shows that are too popular that many of the club members already know about such as “Naruto.”
According to Anime Club sponsor Rita Winters, Chen handles everything about the club.
Chen said, “Club meetings, basically, they watch what they want, and if they like it, they will keep watching, or they will really want to keep watching.”
