At the next UNICEF meeting on April 9, 2013, club members and officers will plan the bake sale that is proposed for the week of April 15.
The bake sale has been confirmed for the week of April 15, over two months after the initial proposed date in early February. The bake sale will run all week in the main cafeteria and will sell brownies, cupcakes and cookies as well as other baked goods. Club members who have already said that they will volunteer can sign up for a shift to run the bake sale at the April 10 meeting.
“We are hoping to raise $200. That’s what we usually go around,” Tiffany Yeh, UNICEF secretary, treasurer and senior, said.
Additional plans for the next meeting include a test for future club officers in scheduling and managing the remaining events for this school year. UNICEF sponsor Jill Noel said that due to time limitations, the only thing UNICEF may be able to do this school year is host additional bake sales, excluding the one planned for next week. Noel also wants enrollment to increase.
Noel said, “(I want) to have a higher amount of members next year than what we have had in the past.”
