Best Buddies plans to host the Friendship Ball in the freshman cafeteria on Nov. 19, according to Dana Lawrence, Best Buddies club sponsor. Juli Miller, Indiana State Director of Best Buddies, is putting this event together. Other local high schools involved with Best Buddies are invited to join the festivities.
“A lot of the Best Buddies chapters are meeting here. It’s going to be exciting to see a lot other people from other schools that do what we do,” said sophomore Abbey Wiggam.
The Friendship Ball will be from 6-9:30 p.m. and will allow members to dance and socialize with buddies from other chapters, according to Lawrence.
“We’ve never had it before. It’s our first-time having a Friendship Ball for Best Buddies, so I don’t really know what to expect. I just know that it’s going to be exciting and fun for all the Buddies,” said Lawrence.
