According to maintenance foreman Mike Wyatt, the department is busy repairing after problems caused by the recent snowstorm.
“The sprinklers busted and flooded parts of the building,” he said.
Although the department ran the air handlers in the building in heat mode while the school was closed, Wyatt said, one unit and the cold water line at the football stadium still ended up freezing. The maintenance department will replace the broken air handler.
“We’re working hard on repairs and doing snow removal,” Wyatt said. “We wanted to make sure students could go to school as soon as possible and stay safe at school.”
Junior Joshua Segaran said he appreciates the maintenance department’s efforts to keep the school open.
