Bobby Greaser, Junior Class president and member of Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council (CMYC), said he is working with CMYC to plan a basketball tournament, which will occur on March 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. The tournament will be in a three vs. three format.
“(The tournament) is kind of unique because it’s something we haven’t seen at the school in a while,” Greaser said. “It’s something I was interested in bringing back.”
According to Greaser, up to four people can be on a team, and sign-up forms will be available in the activities office for two weeks leading up to the event.
According to Junior Class sponsor Ann Mayhew, the officers handle the planning of all Junior Class activities.
Greaser said he hopes the tournament will be successful.
“I’d like for this event to be pretty big. We’re looking to get around 128 people to come out to be members of teams,” he said.
