Pinnacle will have a deadline on Feb. 28.
Web editor and senior Emily Brungard said, “This Friday (Feb. 28 ) is another major deadline (for the Pinnacle staff). Although we are on track, (the deadline) still causes stress for us. And who wouldn’t be, especially when your deadline can affect 4,800 students?”
Laura Moore, substitute teacher for Pinnacle adviser Nicole Laughery, said, “(The students) have significant stress, but not overwhelming (stress), as the first deadline I will manage is coming this Friday (Feb. 28 ) being the first major deadline that I will manage.”
Brungard said, “I take full responsibility if my pages aren’t submitted on time. I can’t blame the editors; I can’t blame the adviser; I can only blame myself for missing the deadline.”
Moore said not only do the students take full responsibility for missing a deadline, but the missed deadline also is reflected in their grades. Moore said, “Missing deadlines is reflected in academic grades and in reviews at the end of the year.”
