The 2012-2013 staff of the HiLite newsmagazine is a finalist for Crown Awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA). Finalists will be announced as Gold or Silver Crown recipients on March 21, 2014 at the CSPA convention in New York City.
The HiLite was judged in the “hybrid” category, for both print and online publications. There are 27 other school papers in this category. The CSPA, an international student press association, judged 1,236 student publications from the 2012-2013 school year.
The adviser of the HiLite is Jim Streisel. Victor Xu ’13 was editor-in-chief for the 2012-2013 HiLite staff. Tony Tan, Natalie Maier, Melinda Song and Ryan Zukerman, ’13, were managing editors.
