The men’s cross-country team begins the Sectional on Oct. 11. They will run against 13 teams including rivals Hamilton Southeastern, Noblesville, Westfield and Fishers. The sectional will take place at White River Elementary in Noblesville.
The team continues their daily training according to head coach Erhard “Doc” Bell.
Via email Bell said, “We are maintaining our training to be ready for the state meet on Oct. 29.”
The way the team trains allows them to be better friends and better runners as a team and individually.
Daniel Williams, varsity runner and junior said, “We are much more bonded compared to the last two years. We run for each other and not for (ourself).”
If Carmel places in the top five of the Sectional they will go on to the Regional on Oct. 15 and after that is the Semistate meet on Oct. 22. The S
tate meet takes place on Oct. 29.
