Cabinet is working to prepare for its upcoming event, Garage Sale. This event will take place on Nov. 22 from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. and Nov. 23 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Main Cafeteria. The money raised will benefit Riley Hospital for Children.
According to Joy Huang, Cabinet member and senior, Cabinet has been working on preparations for the event for months.
“Since September, everyone on Cabinet has been preparing items for Garage Sale for Riley. (Cabinet sponsor Sarah) Wolff has been encouraging us to save up items for the garage sale that we would otherwise donate to Goodwill or give away,” Huang said.
According to Wolff, the main aspect of the event is promoting it to the community. Wolff said she thinks the event is so successful because House and Cabinet are able to collect a wide variety of objects to sell.
Wolff said, “We fill the entire main cafeteria to the brim with stuff.”
Huang and Wolff both agree that the event is one of Cabinet’s most successful each year.
