According to Science Olympiad sponsor Cynthia Henry, the club will have a meeting on Nov. 19 after school in Room B223.
During this meeting, the Top 20 students will be given more time and resources to study for the events in which they will be participating in at the competition according to Celina Tragesser, logistics manager and senior. She said students will get the chance to talk with the officers leading their events and the builders will get more time to complete their builds for the competition. Tragesser said the builders will start testing their builds and recording data, as well as fine tuning everything for competition.
According to Tragesser, the first Science Olympiad competition is on Dec. 6 in Whiting, IN. She said this competition is an invitational so the scores don’t affect the regional scores.
Tragesser said during this meeting, the officers will answer any remaining questions students have about the competition and they will also order team T-shirts after everyone has turned in their money.
