Science Olympiad participants are preparing for Carmel Scrimmage, a CHS-hosted mock competition on Nov. 16.
Ava Liao, Science Olympiad officer and junior, said after-school meetings are productive ways for participants to get engaged in their events.
“(After-school meetings) last till 5:45 pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday,” she said. “These meetings provide a time for teams to mock tests, test designs, and practice lab skills.”
Additionally, Science Olympiad coach Cynthia Henry said she always enjoys seeing teams come together and work hard to prepare for their events.
“It’s always nice to see students come together and study or practice for their events,” she said.
Liao also said that the officer team is working on making tests for Carmel Scrimmage.
“Each officer is assigned a couple events to write tests for and run on Scrimmage day,” she said.
