According to Marisa Arakawa, Art Club president and senior, Art Club will work on a new project for the Arts Garden. The process will involve collecting recycled bottle caps and reusing recycled goods. Arakawa said the installations would be “green-friendly.”
Club sponsor Jennifer Bubp said this project would the main focus of the semester. “This butterfly installation is going to take a long time. It’s going to pretty big,” she said.
Bubp is also considering a tile installation for the Arts Garden.
Other possible activities the club is considering include painting a mural for the children’s ministry wing at the Grace Community Church over the summer. The club will also help conduct a spring art show in May.
Art Club meets during SRT on late start Wednesdays in Room C127.
