According to nurse coordinator Kandyce Hardie, the nurses in the healthcenter are beginning to prepare the healthcenter and students’ files for the upcoming school year.
Hardie said, “We will be getting students’ plans in place for the next school year along with working to get everyone’s charts and information ready for next year and things like that. As far as immunization requirements for students, there aren’t really any new ones so we’ll just make sure everyone’s current record is updated for next year.”
While the nurses already begin to prepare for the next school year, the nurses’ aides carry out their normal routine and help out the nurses throughout the healthcenter. As one of these nurses’ aides, senior Katie Popcheff said she spends the vast majority of her class period in the healthcenter doing work for other classes.
Popcheff said, “We’ll do a few jobs, like helping a student to class or something, but I’m mostly doing homework and studying for another class.”
