The Carmel Clay Education Foundation (CCEF) has found an executive director, Dorothy Ilgen.
“Ms. Ilgen became Executive Director after a search committee composed of members of the CCEF Board interviewed a number of very well-qualified candidates for this job,” assistant superintendent, Jeff Swensson, said.
Swensson explained that she is the first full-time executive director because before it was a part-time position. Ilgen has experience with leading non-profit foundations.
Besides that, the CCEF is waiting for results from last year’s fact-finding report. According to association representative, Dawn Laumeyer, they will hopefully be in by Labor Day. “I hope we can meet some common ground and get a fair contract,” Laumeyer said. “I think all the teachers want that.”
“[Ilgen] is transitioning into her job with gusto,” Swensson said.
