Students may have noticed that CHTV morning announcements have started earlier than in previous years. This is among the many changes CHTV is striving to make.
According to CHTV adviser Hal Espey, CHTV will have new shows such as the Coach Mo Show, where head football coach Mo Moriarity will be asked questions about previous and future games.
Also, Espey said CHTV is hoping to have a monthly show with Principal John Williams.
“With Mr. Williams we’d talk about more academic things that wouldn’t get the spotlight otherwise,” Espey said.
Nolan Blair, host of the Coach Mo Show, said he thinks CHTV is doing really well this year and will continue on this path.
“We’ve had some people on CHTV that are really just messing around, but I think our team this year is really mature and professional,” Blair said.
Espey said a new feature being considered for CHTV is a Web site.
“The Web site definitely isn’t up and running, but we’re hoping to have it in the making,” Espey said.
While CHTV may start many new features, Espey said a big chunk of CHTV is still going to be event coverage.
He said, “We’re still going to be doing a lot of sports. We’re going to try to go to the events and record coverage there more, because that’s a lot more interesting to film and to watch. We’re going to be aiming for an exciting year.”
