As Astronomy Club continues to work with the images they took with a telescope in Arizona using the internet. It is working with professors from Ball State University to improve the quality of some of their pictures.
“We worked on a picture we have of the galaxy and one of star clusters,” Meera Chander, president of Astronomy Club and senior, said.
The club plans to present these images on Feb. 27 to the public. Chander and another member of Astronomy Club, Zach Conrad, will be in charge of the show.
“The cool thing about the show is that it’s going to be done entirely live,” Chander said about the show she and Conrad will be conducting. They are discussing the possibility of getting out telescopes to show those attending the show what they saw in the night sky.
Sponsor of the club Keith Turner said, “[My favorite part of Astronomy Club is] having an experience beyond the classroom. It’s fun to do something different.” By Miranda Huang <[email protected]>
