The Regional Scholastic Art Competition winners are scheduled to be announced “around Jan. 31” according to art department chairperson Jen Davis.
“The competition is where students from central Indiana compete against each other in a number of different art categories,” Davis said. “Butler University is the regional sponsor. They’re in charge of getting the judges.”
Art teacher Jon Kane said he selected several students from his classes for the competition.
“I have a lot of students who entered with entire portfolios,” he said.
The exhibition reception for the winners is scheduled at Clowe’s Hall on March 20, the last day of the exhibit. This exhibit with a collection of all winning artwork will be on display from Feb. 15 to March 20 at Clowe’s Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. By Katie Walstrom <[email protected]>
