In the coming weeks, LifeLines will make plans for its annual Pre-Spring Break Awareness Week. According to Rebekah Overbey, LifeLines sponsor and resource teacher, the group will be meeting on Wednesday, March 16 to discuss the official plans.
“We don’t have all of our ideas set in stone yet, but we’ll be meeting on Wednesday to complete the outline for the week,” she said. Also, LifeLines will not be running its annual car crash simulation this year.
“We’ve decided against doing the simulation for this year,” said Alec Rader, LifeLines vice president and junior. According to Rader, this is out of respect for the many CHS students who have passed away in car crashes in the past two years. “There have been many incidents in recent times in which people have died, and understanding that we think it wouldn’t be a good idea to run the car crash,” he said.
