The Carmel Clay Public Library (CCPL) is still accepting surveys as part of their improvement and renovation project. Students who complete the surveys on the library’s computers in the Young Adult Section will get free Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt coupons.
The CCPL has recently begun a renovation project to change the way that the community perceives the library. One way library officals hope to do this is by providing community members with surveys so they can express their opinions on how the library operates at the moment and how it should improve.
According to Shea Jendrusina, vice president of the CCPL Teen Library Council and senior, “There’s no reason not to (get involved in the project). The library exists to serve the community, so it would be wonderful if (the public) could get involved by taking the surveys.”
This survey is crucial to the improvement of the library and it greatly looks to its members to give out constructive criticism, Jendrusina said.
For example, Jendrusina said, there was a library volunteer who didn’t know that the library has databases which the school doesn’t have access to.
“I think that the library could use some improvement in letting people know what resources it has available,” Jendrusina said.
