Comedy Sportz team members will participate in their second match on March 9 in the Studio Theater. The first match took place on Feb. 17, and while team members thought they did well, they think they still have room for improvement.
According to club sponsor Jim Peterson, the team members never know what will happen next in the matches. The outcomes to the games are different every time, he said. Team members will brush up on the game “five things” and practice their one-liners in preparation for the next match. According to Peterson, it is always helps members to sharpen their quick-thinking skills.
Bill Pfohl, first year team member and sophomore, said he had a great experience in his first match, but he thinks he could improve on talking louder. According to Pfohl, he had a lot of fun and thought the audience did too.
There was a great audience turnout according to Peterson.
Peterson said, “Lots of fans turned out, which sometimes doesn’t happen for our first match. Sometimes it takes a match to get the word out, but obviously the word is out and for a good reason.”
