Although the Junior Class hasn’t finalized any plans for its second semester fundraiser, representatives said they plan on having a meeting to do so in the upcoming weeks.
Junior Class sponsor Amanda Richmond said the fundraiser can be any type of event as long as it’s approved by Assistant Principal Joseph Schaller, who approves all fundraisers before they are conducted.
Junior Class treasurer Josh Ebikwo said that although he wants to conduct a “fun fundraiser,” other Junior Class officers prefer a “quick and painless fundraiser,” by which all juniors would donate about five dollars, and thus raising the necessary amount of money.
“We’re not sure which direction we want to go and take,” Ebikwo said. “The main point is getting the maximum amount of participation.”
Ebikwo said he hopes to have a meeting next week, if possible.
“(The Junior Class officers will) present (their fundraising ideas) to (Junior Class sponsor Jennifer Rhodes and I), we’ll talk about them (and) we’ll see what’s the most feasible,” Richmond said. “We have to get approval from Mr. Schaller and (then) we’ll have a fundraiser of some sort.”
