Best Buddies plans to host a fundraiser at Max & Erma’s Feb. 21. According to Rachael Klippel, Best Buddies president and senior, the club plans to advertise the activity soon. Klippel said most of the money will help pay for the Friendship Walk the club is scheduled to have in April.
“Usually, (fundraisers) help pay for the expense of the club and different activities,” Klippel said.
Best Buddies also has a chapter meeting scheduled Feb. 22 during SRT. According to Klippel, the theme for this meeting is a gym day. Klippel said the members of the club can play with balls, scooters and can participate in different games.
Club sponsor Jamie DiMartino said, “I think they get a lot of good social time (in chapter meetings). They get normal friend interaction, which is the goal of Best Buddies, to build friendships.”
