According to Annie Swain, AVID senior elective teacher, the AVID seniors will finalize plans for the AVID senior banquet on May 7 after spring break.
As the end of the semester is approaching, Swain also said the seniors will wrap up their school year by making college plans after spring break.
“We are going to continue to work on planning their schedules for when they leave and attend college next year.” Swain said.
AVID senior Jonathon Syck said he feels somewhat sentimental about graduating due to the atmosphere of family the AVID program has provided.
“I’ve been in the program for four years, and I’ve gotten to know a lot of people, and Swain’s been our teacher for two years, so she’s kind of emotionally attached to us.” Syck said “It’s not going to be a fun time, you know, but we got to leave. We got to do stuff.”
