The men’s cross-country team ran in the Hamilton County Meet, which included several ranked teams in the state, at Noblesville. According to Head Coach Erhard “Doc” Bell, Carmel won with 41 points followed by Westfield, 51; Hamilton Southeastern, 80; Fishers, 102; Guerin Catholic, 138; Noblesville, 139; Hamilton Heights, 193; and University, 243.
Bell said, via e-mail, “Carmel ran a controlled race. The Carmel Reserve Boys ran outstanding winning with a perfect score of 15 points as they took the first 13 positions.”
Michael George, varsity runner and junior said, “Carmel did well against some really good teams. I was happy with the results.”
Carmel will next compete in the Lafayette Harrison Invitational on Sept. 1.
