According to Assistant Principal Joseph Schaller, Wi-Fi extenders have been implemented over fall break. In addition, the E-room computer labs are still undergoing renovation that involves switching the desktop computers to laptops during fall break.
“Instead of making teachers and their classes go to the computer lab to do work, with COWS (computers on wheels), we bring the computers to the classrooms,” Schaller said. “We’re trying to convert the computer labs into classrooms for next year.”
Although the computer labs are still undergoing renovation, the transitory period between computer labs located in E215 and E118 with only laptops to regular classrooms is scheduled to take until the end of this year.
According to junior Neil Shah, the new COWS will increase classroom efficiency. “Sometimes it takes too long for a class to go to the computer lab, so I think bringing computers to the classroom would be a great idea,” he said.
