Wild Bunch, a spirit club composed entirely of senior girls, is preparing for the 2009-2010 school year. According to Deanna Daly, Wild Bunch co-president and senior, there is a call-out meeting for all interested senior girls this Thursday, Aug. 27, in Greyhound Station immediately after school. There will be few other scheduled after meetings for the club outside of the athletic events members attend.
Daly believes that Wild Bunch is an important aspect of athletics at this school.
“I think for the athletes especially, it just gives them a cheering section and shows that the Carmel students really are proud of all their Hounds that are involved,” she said.
Co-president and senior Madison Brake is looking forward to the changes the club is making for this year.
“This year, we’re trying to get a lot more people to participate because I know last year there wasn’t a lot of people who came to the games and got excited,” Brake said. “We’d like to expand it to more than just football games.”
According to Daly, Wild Bunch strives to attend senior nights for each athletic team as well as major rivalry games during the school year and information regarding these events will be available via the announcements.
According to club sponsor Amy Skeens-Benton, all questions regarding Wild Bunch and its schedule should be diverted to Brake or Daly.
