The Carmel Clay Education Foundation (CCEF) is planning for the “Ghosts and Goblins” event at the end of the month.
The event will be a fundraiser for CCEF’s mission to award scholarships for deserving CHS seniors. Participants will have an option between a 5K run, 2K walk and wellness fair organized by the CHS Wellness Committee.
“All CHS seniors who enter either the run or walk will have their names entered into a drawing for a CCEF scholarship,” CCEF executive director Dorothy Ilgen said.
The event will be on Oct. 31 and registration forms are due by Oct. 23. These forms can be found on the CCEF website, http://www1.ccs.k12.in.us/ccef/ and must be mailed to 5201 E. 131st St.
Sophomore Erica Ernst is excited for the 5K part of the event. “I didn’t get to race much during cross-country season, so I’m interested in doing this,” she said. Ernst said she will probably bring other friends along.
“I definitely want to do this since it seems like it goes to a good cause,” she said. By Yameen Hameed <[email protected]>
