The Tie Dye Club has not met since its callout meeting on Oct. 14, but Alexis Ruggiero, Allixandra “Allie” Daniels and Joanna Morgan, Tie Dye Club presidents and sophomores, plan to have a Tie Dye Club meeting on Feb. 24.
This meeting is scheduled to begin after school in Kathy Hallett, club sponsor and freshman biology teacher’s, room, Room H313. This meeting was originally supposed to take place Feb. 3 but was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts between the presidents.
“We planned to have the meeting, but unfortunately I was sick, and Allie and Joanna had other commitments,” Ruggiero said.
Hallett said that she was unaware about the meeting’s cancellation.
“I saw them (Ruggiero, Daniels and Morgan) in the hall the week before and they said we were having it. A couple of girls showed up for it, but of course there was nothing to do so they left,” Hallett said.
Hallet also said that she was unsure about the club continuing in the future. Ruggiero, on the other hand, said that the club will continue to schedule meetings every Blue Wednesday.
The Tie Dye Club formed last semester, and its purpose is for students to tie dye shirts for children at Riley Children’s Hospital. Club members can also tie dye their own items and learn new tie dyeing techniques. By Rachel Boyd <[email protected]>
