The Paws4Cause Club is discussing new ideas for its activities. The group is expected to consider the possibility of a speaker from the Humane Society when it next meets.
Regarding the project to create posters to hang up throughout the school, teacher sponsor Patti Balchan said, “They were somewhat disappointed with the posters, due to the monitoring they didn’t quite turn out the way they wanted.”
Paws4Cause originally wanted to create posters that divulged information regarding companies that were known to use animal testing, but after consulting with the school administration, the group was suggested to promote companies that were known to not use animal testing. The posters were completed, and Balchan said that three more people have joined the club after seeing the posters.
The club is still encouraging members that are 16 or over to attend the monthly orientation at the local Humane Society. Once completed, the orientation allows people to work hands on with animals, a high priority in Paws4Cause.
Paws4Cause meets after school every other Tuesday in Room E204, and information can be acquired from Balchan or picked up at Room E204 if interested. Balchan says the club is always eager to accept new members. By Nick Johnson <[email protected]>
