On March 19, the Jazz bands will put on their annual jazz concert. This year it is entitled Jazz at the Fountains because of its venue, The Fountains. Tickets are $15. All four Jazz bands will be performing and the door opens at 6:45 with the music starting at 7:30.
The concert is a very important night for the Carmel band program; it is a time to showcase the unique jazz style of music as well as the skill of the musicians in the bands. Band director Christopher Kreke said, “I’m very excited for the performance, it is a great way to showcase how hard the students work.”
The four Jazz bands practice about every day before school, for about an hour. Senior Matt Skavroneck said, “I am excited about the concert. It is good to be able to play for a large audience and perform our music.” By Grayson Harbour <[email protected]>
