In the last few weeks, the weather has improved and the vocational building trade class has continued work at the Flowing Well Park. The class took a break from working at the well during winter but has now started work again.
According to John Coghlan, the vocational building trade teacher, the class has almost completed the work. The class still has to build a pergola, a structure with a trellis on the top, and still needs to paint a few structures.
At the same time, the class also is still continuing work on the basement. “We’ll be working on the basement in bad weather and the flowing well in good weather,” Coghlan said.
The vocational building trade class still needs to finish up framing the basement in the next week or so and then plans to start the electrical. The students will be installing things like light switches and plugs.
When the Flowing Well Park is done, Coghlan already has another project lined up for the class. The class will be building a deck for a customer starting in May. By Julie Kippenbrock <[email protected]>
