On Monday NHS announced the names of next year’s officers. The officers were chosen at the induction ceremony on Mar. 28. Although NHS is finished with most club activities, there are still a few tasks that both current and new members must complete.
“I’m honored to be an officer and I would like to congratulate and thank everyone else who ran,” David Chiang, junior and club secretary said. The list of officers includes juniors: Jacob Smith as president, Luke Blackburn as vice-president, David Chiang as secretary and Bethany Arrington as treasurer. Chiang said other officers must attend an officer meeting in the near future. According to club sponsor Tony Willis, Ansel Nalin, current club president and senior will announce the officer meeting date soon.
Willis also said new members who missed the induction ceremony should pay club dues and pick up membership cards in E134 by the end of the school year. Current members should also turn in hours forms by April 1 to either club sponsor Debbie Haire in B211 or any current club officer.
Overall Willis said he is happy with how NHS progressed throughout the year. “We’re wrapping up a successful year. We’ve had outstanding officers who did a great job and were very organized and committed,” Willis said. By Afra Hussain <[email protected]>
