Global Giving has decided to raise money for Institution for Education this year. Institution for Education is an organization that uses donations to purchase necessary school supplies for underprivileged school children around the world.
According to vice-president and senior Michelle Li, “(The club chose) Institution for Education because it gives us details about where our donations are going.”
Global Giving raised $60 from its Homecoming booth selling baked goods. The club has other fundraisers coming up this year including Carmel’s Best Dance Crew. Global Giving will be working with the Hip Hop Club to collect donations during the event.
“I am looking forward to Carmel’s Best Dance Crew because it raises a lot of money,” Li said.
