The Junior Class Homecoming charity this year is Theraplay. Theraplay is a company that provides therapeutic services to help children with mental disorders and build healthy relationships.
Junior Class adviser Jennifer Rhodes decided Theraplay would be a good charity to raise money for because she knows people who have worked with it and had positive experiences.
“It’s a great organization,” Rhodes said.
Junior Class president Jimmy Hayden and other Junior Class representatives are raising money for Theraplay through T-shirts sales, playhouse building and penny wars. Hayden also agrees that Theraplay is a good charity to raise money for.
“I think it’s an awesome charity,” Hayden said.
Both Rhodes and Hayden agreed that the best part of raising money for Theraplay was helping children.
“Just helping make a difference in their lives, it’s huge,” Hayden said.
