The Carmel Clay Public Library will be hosting DIY Mondays: Guitar String Bracelets for middle school and high school students on April 14 after school until 5 p.m in the young adult lounge.
Students will be able to turn used music strings into bracelets. Materials and refreshments will be provided free of cost.
Hope Baugh, young adult services manager, said teens will benefit if they go to DIY Mondays.
“(Students should attend) because it will be fun, and they will be able to express the creativity,” Baugh said.
Divya Sarda, vice president of the Teen Library Council and senior, said she agrees with Baugh.
“DIY Mondays are meant for students to learn how to make different crafts that can be used as present ideas later in life,” Sarda said via email. “It’s also fun and can have something to do with a favorite series of a person.”
