Junior varsity men’s basketball finished its season 14-6. According to Head Coach Francis Ramirez, the season was a success. The majority of the team is now practicing with the varsity as a scout team, or second string, in order to help the varsity team run through plays and defenses. However, only four JV players will be on the varsity roster.
“We had some highs and lows like almost every season has but I think the boys should be proud of what they accomplished over the 20 games they played,” Ramirez said via email.
JV player, Neil Lampe, was moved up to scout team at the end of the year. “We just help the varsity players run through plays and help them get better,” Lampe said. The scout team will not dress for varsity at the State championship on Saturday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
