Indian Student Association (ISA) is still in the process of making plans for the new semester. While the members still have not held a meeting since after winter break, there are still some plans under consideration. Aryaman Gupta, ISA club president and senior, said Ekal Vidyalaya, a nonprofit organization attempting to educate children in India, will have a fundraiser on March 13 that ISA plans to participate in. However, plans for this event are not final and the club has yet to contact the nonprofit group.
Other plans to be discussed by club leadership were brought up by ISA officer and sophomore Alina Husain. Some of these plans may not be implemented until next school year due to organizational issues. “One thing we would definitely do would be a Holi celebration, where you throw the colors,” Husain said. “Hopefully, next year we can put together a dinner after Diwali.”
