New team members of this year’s ComedySportz team were announced Sept. 4 after school.
In addition to co-captains and seniors Laura Palmer and Jason VanHouten and junior Bethany Arrington, the team added three new members, juniors Olivia LaMagna and Jacob Smith and sophomore Peter Marshall.
Students interested in joining the team auditioned on Aug. 28 and were chosen by the current team members and Jim Peterson, sponsor and performing arts teacher.
Peterson said it was hard to come to a consensus but he let the team fight it out and come to him with their suggestions.
Palmer said, “I tend to be a bit of a stickler when it comes to auditions and whatnot, so I had made sure that Bethany, Jason and I were all clear on the schedule, the goals and what we were looking for so we could find the best three people to fill our slots for the season.”
