House of Representatives is in charge of putting together fundraisers and events for the school. Currently, they are working to organize the homecoming alumni tent for the football game on Oct. 2. The members of House provide food and games for alumni of this school, who are invited to watch the game for free. It is five dollars for current students to attend the homecoming game.
To organize the alumni tent, House has formed committees that will each be responsible for different parts of the tent. The speaker of the House, Sunny Huang, said there is a committee to set up the tent, to grill and cook the food throughout the event, to run games and entertainment and to clean up.
House co-sponsor, Sarah Wolff, said there are no events coming up until Dance Marathon on Feb. 20. Wolff said that this is her favorite event of the year.
“It’s 900 kids coming together, raising money for the cause of someone else. How could you not like that?” Wolff said. “We just had a student pass away who was being treated at Riley, and that’s where the money’s going.”
