The Carmel Clay Public Library (CCPL) will host an event called DIY Mondays: Balloon Ping Pong on March 18 from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Young Adult Department Lounge of the CCPL. The objective of DIY Mondays: Balloon Ping Pong is to teach teens how to turn ordinary items into artwork.
Students can make ping pong paddles from old CD’s, craft sticks and duct tape. Furthermore, refreshments and materials will be provided free of cost.
“We’re saving the planet stylishly,” Young Adult services manager Karen Steinberger said. “We’re taking ordinary materials and we’re turning them into artwork.”
