After claiming the Brebeuf Regional title, Carmel looks onto the second half of the State tournament beginning with the IHSAA Semistate on Oct. 26 at 11:00 a.m. The meet will be taking place at Northview Christian Life Church here in Carmel.
“This is my last meet at home,” varsity runner and senior Gina Genco said, “so I want to make it something special.”
At the Brebeuf Regional, Carmel runners occupied five spots in the top 10 and had an overall score of 27 with senior Kelcy Welch leading the way. The rain earlier that morning had left the course sloppy and muddy.
“This did not discourage the Greyhounds or their level of competition,” Head Coach Mark Ellington said.
