The school-wide, intramural Brain Game tournament is nearing its end, according to Matt Keene, senior senator. The April 13 round of competition was postponed to April 21 and the date for the final round of the Brain Game competition has been tentatively scheduled for April 27, according to Senate sponsor Michelle Foutz. Foutz said the final round will be broadcasted live on CHTV.
Keene said he looks forward to the final rounds of the tournament, “We’ve had some steep competition this year; it’s going to be a good match.”
In addition to Brain Game, the senators are busy coordinating the spring blood drive, which will occur on April 23. According to Foutz, students who want to participate should sign up by April 13. Donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not participate in a spring sport. Students who are exactly 16 years old must bring a signed parental consent form with them to the blood drive.
According to Foutz, this is the largest high school blood drive in the area. The Indiana Blood Center will collect the donations and distribute them to local hospitals, including the Riley Hospital for Children.
