Senior Emily Roberts goes one-on-one with a Hamilton Southeastern defender. The Hounds take on Lawrence North on Aug. 6 at home at 7p.m.

After a long preseason, where the successor to graduated goalkeeper Celene Funke was the biggest question, Head Coach Frank Dixon has started senior Nicole Vohs in every game, although he has not ruled out making a change.

“We like all three of [the goalkeepers], and they all give us something a little different, so we’ll go at it one game at a time and then make a decision around tournament time,” Dixon said.

While Vohs has started every game but one (Ben Davis), playing time has been doled out to both senior Sydney Baines and junior Emily Melchi. However, according to senior Emily Roberts, the team feels confident no matter who is in net.

“They’re [the goalkeepers] all really talented, and no matter who we have, I feel confident in winning State,” Roberts said.
