Senior Emily Roberts goes one-on-one with a Hamilton Southeastern defender. The Hounds take on Lawrence North tomorrow at home at 7 p.m.

The CHS women’s soccer team will take on the 6th ranked Zionsville Community High School women’s soccer team tonight at Murray Stadium at 7p.m. The last time these two teams faced off was the Sectional championship at Murray Stadium, where Zionsville pulled off the 1-0 win with a goal late in the game.

“(Zionsville’s) usually a very well organized defensive team, so we have to figure out ways to score goals. We’ve been so close in a lot of games but we just can’t get that finish.” Head Coach Frank Dixon said.

Senior goalkeeper Nicole Vohs was red-carded in the previous game against Noblesville High School. With Vohs out, junior Emily Melchi will start the game in net, according to Dixon.

Emily Roberts, soccer player and senior, said, “I think the red card was really harsh, however it happens and we have to deal with it. Having Emily in goal will be different, but it will be a good challenge to see how our defense adjusts and to see them step up.”
