The Junior Class officers still have not finalized plans for a second semester fundraiser. They plan on having a meeting later this semester to come up with a theme.
According to Junior Class sponsor Jennifer Rhodes, although it has already been determined that a fundraiser will take place next semester, serious talks of a theme have not taken place yet. However, the officers must come up with a good idea because student government is lacking money for school functions.
“We hope we can raise enough money,” Rhodes said. “Otherwise, we can’t have graduation (or any other school events).”
Junior Class treasurer Josh Ebikwo has come up with a few ideas. He said his favorite idea is a “Sock Hop.”
Ebikwo said he thinks the money can be raised because the Junior Class normally has high participation in fundraisers.
“The junior class is very reachable,” Ebikwo said. “I think (the fundraiser) will go well.”
